I have been active with Parents as Teachers programs with both of my boys. I am a single mother and college student. I have received parent education and emotional support from Family Care Connection. They are always available with information and referrals. My boys and I enjoy the in-home parent education. The activities are fun for me as well as for the boys. It is exciting to watch them learn and experience new things. This program has helped me realize I am my boys’ most important teacher. I recommend this program for any young parent.

I am a single parent of twin boys. I was referred to Family Care Connection by my high school. It was a simple decision for me to accept services because I grew up in foster care. I received parent education and support from my case manager. There were times that I felt overwhelmed by the lack of family support and my case manager was there for me and my boys. She was the only person who attended my high school graduation. She not only encourages me to further my education but provides me with information about colleges that have supportive teen parent programs. I would recommend Family Care Connection to other teen parents.
